Giselle

What better way to celebrate Valentine's than attending my favorite ballet "Giselle." Set in the Rhineland during the middle ages, the story is about a peasant girl whose ghost, after her premature death, protects her lover from evil female spirits, the Wilis. Giselle was first presented by the Ballet du Théâtre de l'Académie Royale de Musique at the Salle Le Peletier in Paris, France on June 28 1841. Carlotta Grisi and later Anna Pavlova performed this beautiful and magical ballet.
