Year 2020

How do I begin?  2020 has been marked with change and tragedy beyond measure.  COVID 19,  a pandemic virus has swept the globe killing thousands.  Some days I am overwhelmed with fear and uncertainty relying only on my faith and God’s mercy.   I continue to create by knitting, preparing new dishes, baking and painting to maintain balance.

Summer Blues

Summer is my least favorite season. It’s hot and dry here in Northern California and my creative levels plummet.  Not inspired to pick up the needles and finish the cowl but I did visit a couple of  LYS at the annual Wine Country Yarn Hop this past weekend, Cast Away 🧶 and Fiber Circle Studio.  Respect to the local wool producers in this area and Indy dyers.

The Demise of Local Yarn Shops

There is nothing more inspiring than touching and embracing skeins of wool, angora and cashmere.  My heart is sad by the sudden closing of our LYS, Knitterly, in Petaluma, California.  Changing times!
